How do I update my bank account information?

Updating a bank account on file is fairly straight forward process with us. First, the merchant account owner will need to contact our Customer Service at 1-800-577-0195 or helpdesk@cocard.com to begin the process. After account verification, we will need a proof of the new bank account information. The new bank account information can be provided in a form of a voided check or a bank letter. Business name and address must be listed on the check, temporary checks are not acceptable.

If you may not have a check handy, Banks and financial institutions generally will able to provide you with a "Counter Check" which is a check that is printed from the the teller line that includes your business name and address.

You can also request a Bank Letter to be provided. The Bank Letter must be printed on a Bank Overhead letter and include your complete business name, address, routing number, checking account number, the bankers name, contact details and their signature. 
Once the proper documentation is received, the account owner will be sent a DocuSign to authorize the bank account change.

How long does it take to update this information?

Bank account update can take 1-2 business days before it is fully updated. It is important not to close the existing bank account until the new bank account information has been updated in our systems.
