How do I update my Tax ID and Legal Information?

How do I update my federal tax ID and IRS information with CoCard Business? 

If you have changed your business legal information such as EIN/Tax ID number, legal name, entity type, etc. with the IRS, then it is extremely important to update it with your processor as well. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-577-0195 or email helpdesk@cocard.com and one of our Customer Care agents will assist you.

How long does it take this information to be updated with CoCard Business?

Most legal updates take between 5-7 business days to take place. Once the correct addendum is submitted to CoCard Business, the information is then cross-referenced with what is on file with the IRS. If any information is incorrect, the request will be placed on hold until accurate information is obtained from the merchant. 

 

How do I know what IRS information CoCard Business has on file?

By default, CoCard Business has the information on file that was submitted with the merchant application. You can view this information by checking the signed merchant application that was completed prior to account approval.
