Compass Dashboard Orientation
The Compass Dashboard is a great tool that every merchant needs to use.
This document can be used to obtain the following information:
Transactions (txns)
Batches
Funding (Payments, Pmts)
Merchant Statements (Merch Stmnts)
Bank Account
Chargebacks
Tax Documents
If you forgot your username and/or password, please use the self-serve recovery option.
You can:
Search for an individual or group of txns.
Search by last 4, txn date, amount range, etc.
Export findings to CSV.
Click into a txn to see how payment was collected and processed.
When you submit a batch, it will show as CLOSED first and FUNDED once the money has been deposited into your bank account.
Funding is where you can find all your deposits/payments directly into your checking account.
Click Funding tab.
Selet the month to view and press Search button.
This amount is your net deposit.
Shows you the processing fees removed from the gross batch amount.
Monthly merchant statements are released between the 5th and the 7th of the month.
The merchant monthly statement contains the following information:
Activity summary
Daily funding
Processing volume
Fees
Chargebacks (disputes)
You can check your existing bank account and also update it here.
A chargeback is a dispute that the customer has filed with their credit card issuing company against you the merchant.
Some of the reasons customer’s file disputes (chargebacks):
Overcharged
Dissatisfied with the goods and services
Fraud (card charged by a stranger)
Goods and services never received
Tax documents (1099, B-Notice, Activity Summary) are available to you by selecting:
Statements and Tax Forms —> Tax Documents —> and choosing a year.
